5th June 2012: Zhenya Strigalev with review in ‘Guardian’ and Russian Journal ‘Kommersant’ for ‘Smiling Organizm’
Russian alto saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev launched his debut WWR album with us just yesterday, and the great press continues to roll in. The album features the quirky yet hugely satisfying compositions of the leader with a bumber crop of NYC/UK based musicians: Liam Noble on piano, bass stars Tim Lefebvre and Larry Grenadier, Vitaly Golovnev on trumpet, and the world renown Eric Harland on drums, who turns out a stellar performance. Check out the great review from the UK’s leading jazz critic John Fordham by clicking HERE
Also for you fans who can read Russian (we can thanks to Google translate, and also some help from Zhenya!) here’s a great in-depth article on the album in the Russian Journal Kommersant.
As expected, demand for this album has already been huge, pick up your copy today!
