20th March 2013: Shout-Outs from The Guardian and Jazzwise for Robert Mitchell’s ‘Leftitude Festival’
Tonight marks the first of a two day festival ‘Leftitude’ concentrating on left hand only piano, held at the Forge in Camden and hosted by piano virtuoso Nicholas McCarthy (who has played at the Paralympic Closing Ceremony and on the BBC Piano Season Gala Concert).
The festival, beginning tonight (Wednesday 20th March), will begin with Nicholas McCarthy interviewing Robert Mitchell at 7pm, with the music kicking of at 7.30pm starting with Pat Thomas and followed by Ivo De Greef. Tomorrow night features Claire Hammond and then Robert Mitchell himself. Tickets for both tonight and tomorrow’s performances are available here as well as on the door.
