Violinist Scott Tixier has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in the world of jazz violin, offering skills as both a performer and a composer. He’s most closely associated with his brother Tony Tixier, whose release I Am Human he offers a heartfelt duet on.

Born and educated in Paris, he has lived in New York for over a decade, performing alongside the likes of Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Roger Waters, Kenny Barron, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Charnett Moffett, Cassandra Wilson, Chris Potter, Christina Aguilera, Common, Anthony Braxton, Joss Stone, Ariana Grande, Tigran Hamasyan and many others. He has one leader disc to his name – Cosmic Adventure, which gained plaudits from NPR, New York Times, Village Voice and JazzTimes.
