22nd April 2013: Sam Crowe Album Launch Announced + BBC Jazz Line-Up, PLUS Matt Ridley Concert

Many new and great things are happening here at Whirlwind Recordings this month, including the release and launch of pianist Sam Crowe’s album ‘Towards The Centre of Everything’, as well as a Matt Ridley concert at The Vortex in advance of his debut album release ‘Thymos’ to be released this autumn.

Sam’s eagerly anticipated second album includes many fantastic musicians, with Will Vinson on alto saxophone, Adam Waldmann on soprano saxophone, Will Davies on Guitar, Alan Hampton on double and electric bass, Mark Guiliana on drums and with a special guest of Emilia Martensson on vocals.

The ‘Towards The Centre Of Everything’ album release will be on the 29th April, with copies being available from the WWR site as well as from all good music stores. The album launch concert will be at the renowned jazz venue ‘The Vortex’ on the 1st May, tickets are available from the Vortex website. Be sure to order them soon, it’s shaping to be a big launch!
