24th November 2021: Rudresh Mahanthappa’s HERO TRIO and Michael Janisch Band to play Love Supreme Festival 2022

We’re happy to share the news that Rudresh Mahanthappa’s HERO TRIO and Michael Janisch Band will be performing at the UK’s Love Supreme Festival on Sunday July 3rd 2022 (tickets). The Love Supreme Jazz Festival is a three-day greenfield music festival held annually on the first weekend of July in Glynde Place in the South Downs of East Sussex. It includes a spectrum of musical styles adjacent to jazz, such as funk, soul, blues and hip-hop.

Mahanthappa and Janisch released albums pre-Covid to worldwide acclaim, both appearing on many of the ‘Best Albums of the Year’ lists in the international jazz press.  Both bands were also sidelined to the tune of dozens of concerts globally, so it’s great to see they’ll be back touring in 2022 playing music from their Whirlwind release as well as new music.
