4th October 2013: More Reviews in for Ollie Howell’s Debut Release from The Financial Times, The Jazz Breakfast & The Jazz Camera PLUS Airplay on UK Jazz Radio

“One of the most impressive drummers emerging on the scene” – Jazz Camera

 London-based drummer Ollie Howell recently released his debut album on WWR – Sutures and Stitches. The album has already landed well with the press as the reviews in today demonstrate.

We have a review in from the The Jazz Breakfast who begin with saying that “this is an extraordinarily accomplished debut album” and on his playing announce that “his touch is sure, his playing is both strongly characterful and highly supportive. He manages to be busy while never intruding unnecessarily.”

On top of this The Jazz Camera describe Ollie as “one of the most impressive drummers emerging on the scene” and that “the group’s musical unity is exemplary”. They finish by saying that “the recording shows what an immense talent Howell has – as both a drummer and a composer – and much more fine music surely lies ahead.”
