18th December 2013: Rachael Cohen Listed in Jazz Breakfast’s ‘Festive 50’, Glowing Review from All About Jazz PLUS Airplay on Dublin City FM, 102.5FM, Phonic FM & Radio Cardiff

Rachael Cohen recently launched her debut album Halftime on WWR which landed well with critics with Bebop Spoken Here announcing it as “another contender for CD of the Year” and in today we have yet more glowing reviews to add to the collection.

The album has just been listed on Jazz Breakfast’s ‘Festive 50’ which states that “Cohen shines brightest with seemingly effortlessly melodic and naturally flowing improvisations”. You can view the full list of the ‘Festive 50’ here. 

Also in is a glowing review from All About Jazz who say that Rachael is “a player who’s not afraid to leave her sound exposed and who’s aware of the importance of space and emotion.”

Rachael’s album has also received airplay on Dublin City FM’s Jazzorama playing the track Groove Envy, on 102.5FM’s The Bridge show playing the track Ask Me Later, Phonic FM Exeter playing the track Riggins, Higgins? and on Radio Cardiff Jazz Special where they played Just For You (1st Dec).
