‘Queen Anne’, the second single from Matt Gold‘s upcoming release Imagined Sky is out today. The release is Chicago-based guitarist and songwriter Matt Gold’s debut as leader, and features a central trio of Bryan Doherty (bass) and Jeremy Cunningham (drums). Imagined Sky has creative collaboration at its core, and is driven by by a consistently strong approach to melodic invention. ‘Queen Anne’ ​features vocalist Macie Stewart and lyrically builds on themes of physical space, blending her clear, unadorned articulation with the trio’s insistent interlocking groove.
