25th March 2023: New album – ‘Outlines’ – from Dee Byrne dropping June 9 & tour starting today

Saxophonist, composer and improviser Dee Byrne will release her second album on Whirlwind Recordings this June. Active within various original jazz and improvising ensembles, she has established herself as a unique voice on the UK creative scene and beyond. Her newest album, Outlines, will be released on June 9.

Ahead of the release, Dee sets out on a UK tour from tonight:

March 25 – Listen!, Cambridge
March 26 – Jazz North East, Newcastle
March 28 – Fusebox, Leeds
March 29 – Jazz at The Lescar, Sheffield
April 4 – Fringe In The Round, Bristol
July 4 – The Vortex, London

Joining her on tour are trumpeter Nick Malcolm, Tom Ward on clarinets, pianist Rebecca Nash, Olie Brice on double bass and drummer Andrew Lisle.
