Michael Olatuja is a bass player with a truly global experience. Growing up in Lagos, studying in London and then moving to New York to study at Manhattan School of Music, this combination of experiences is fused together in his recent release, Lagos Pepper Soup, named after a spicy Nigerian dish full of intense flavours.
The album features a stellar cast of musicians, including special guests Angelique Kidjo, Laura Mvula, Dianne Reeves, Lionel Loueke, Becca Stevens, Regina Carter, Joe Lovano and Brandee Younger.
