11th September 2015: ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing’ – New York Standards Quartet release new live video.

The New York Standards Quartet (NYSQ) is pianist David Berkman, drummer Gene Jackson, saxophonist Tim Armacost, and bassist Daiki Yasukagawa. This New York-based unit have developed a near telepathic relationship playing together since 2006.

Conceptually, the NYSQ strives to develop its own language within the tradition of performing standard jazz repertoire as showcased in recent release The New Straight Ahead.
