17th October 2017: Ingrid Jensen, Christine Jensen and Ben Monder bring ‘Infinitude’ to Europe Nov 2nd – 13th
“A very personal album with skilful arrangements and original improvisations that illustrate the quality of soloists.”
Le Cri du Port (full review)
With Infinitude, Ingrid and Christine Jensen have realized an ambition to write for and perform in the more intimate setting of a quintet, combining their intuitive, sibling trust with the creativity of renowned guitarist Ben Monder and the foundational artistry of bassist Fraser Hollins and drummer Jon Wikan.
Over the past twenty years or so, as trumpeter and saxophonist respectively, the West Canadian sisters have each shaped prolific careers in contemporary jazz, collaborating with influential names such as Clark Terry, Maria Schneider and Terry Lynn Carrington, working with large and small ensembles, and responding to commissions to compose for jazz orchestras around the globe.
From 2nd to 13th November, Ingrid and Christine Jensen with Ben Monder will be touring Europe with ‘Infinitude’.
