9th November 2020: Harish Raghavan’s ‘Calls For Action’ one year on – press highlights include Jazz Journal, Sussex Jazz and more
Bassist Harish Raghavan released his debut album Calls For Action to critical acclaim this time last year. The album features a lineup of some of the finest up-and-coming players from the New York scene. Joining Harish are Joel Ross on vibraphone, pianist Micah Thomas (who appears elsewhere on Whirlwind on In Common 2), Kweku Sumbry on drums and recent Blue Note debutant Immanuel Wilkins on alto saxophone.
The album is a bristling, exploration of a strong group dynamic. The full album is out on 2x 12″ LP 180g Limited Edition Vinyl, CD & DL: here.
Below are recent press highlights for the album.
