4th March 2013: From London Jazz News, Another Highly Complimentary Review For Recent Release ‘The Glimpse’

Last month has seen the release of two new additions to our WWR catalog, the first being Robert Mitchell’s The Glimpse, an album that concentrates wholly on solo left hand piano playing and with a different approach to composition through this deliberate restraint of the right hand. This week we have received a great review for the album from London Jazz News, stating that “Mitchell’s album is something of a revelation” and includes “absorbing improvisations, compositions… and a number of cogent Mitchell originals that intriguingly vindicate his stated aim.”

Robert is currently touring The Glimpse around the UK, so you can catch all the dates via our events page. He is also hosting a left-hand festival this month at The Forge, Camden entitled ‘Leftitude’ (20th and 21st March).
