14th November 2014: Four Dates for Tori Freestone at the EFG London Jazz Festival
WWR Artist and saxophonist Tori Freestone (who released In The Chop House with us earlier this year) will be playing four dates as part of The EFG London Jazz Festival, which starts today.
November 15th with E17 Large Ensemble, The Barbican Centre. Details
November 16th (2pm) with Solstice at E17 Jazz. Details
November 16th (7.45) supporting Henri Texier at The Purcell Room. Details
November 18th (8.30 pm) Servants Jazz Quarters. Details
Tori Freestone is a British saxophonist, flautist and violinist who performs at the forefront of the UK improvised music scene as both a sidewoman and highly regarded bandleader. She is known for her robust tenor sound, melodic invention as well as an ability to amalgamate into a variety of styles and musical contexts while maintaining her highly personal and distinct voice.
Tori talks here about her show at the Purcell Rooms, London on 16th November.The concert will premiere a commission composed by Tori especially for the festival.
Tori will also be featuring tracks from her album In The Chop House.
