22nd May 2011: Exciting new Sax Trio ‘Partikel’ signs to Whirlwind Recordings!

‘Partikel,’ comprised of saxophonist Duncan Eagles, bassist Max Luthert and drummer Eric Ford, have signed to Whirlwind and will be releasing their 2nd album titled ‘Cohesion’ officially on NOV 7th with an extensive UK tour.  Partikel made big waves on the UK jazz scene in 2010 with the release of their eponymous debut, causing a great stir in the jazz press, which cited them as one of the next big jazz acts of the younger generation on the scene.  Their music draws heavily on combining their love of world rhythms with the strong influence of the New York Jazz scene, mixed with an individual take on the classic saxophone trio.  They are a very dedicated band of youngsters who have really put the time in together and this is evident on one hearing.  Whirlwind Recordings is very excited to be releasing this exciting new music.  More info visit www.partikel.co.uk
