14th May 2012: BIG NEWS! Our Ecommerce site is now officially operational !! CDs, Digital Albums, Individual Tracks, etc.

After a year or more of planning, and many months of programming, we have officially launched the brand new Whirlwind Recordings website.  The new site features a state of the art, easy to use ecommerce, shopping cart and checkout capability, allowing you to purchase any number of  physical CDs, digital albums with liner notes, and individual tracks if that is what you’re used to.  Each of our digital download products are at 320 bit rate (that’s a fancy way to say really GREAT audio quality, and twice as good for example as the quality that you get when you purchase from Itunes) and include a PDF of the liner notes (digital album only, not individual tracks).    The checkout process is hassle-free and all you have to do is enter an email address, rather than creating an account and logging your life details with us.  We didn’t want to bother with all of that fuss as much as the average person doesn’t want to deal with it.  The final payment is then taken by Pay Pal and you can log into your pay pal account or if you don’t have Pay Pal you can pay on their portal as a one time ‘Pay Pal Guest’ etc.  Simple.

Take a look around the site and see what you think, we’re really excited about it.  We’ve been inspired by some of the good aspects of sites like Itunes and Bandcamp and have amalgamated some other ideas into what you now will see on each album page on our site.   And we think we’ve made the whole purchasing process even easier to make your experience here a pleasant one.  

This is just the start!  There’s a lot more great ideas being planned for the WWR site, including providing Scores of all the music that is featured on the site, right from the pen of the artist to you.  That should be here sometime this year.  Also, be on the look out for our new YouTube and Soundcloud Page.
