Aaron Parks is an internationally recognized pianist who came to the public’s attention during his time with trumpeter Terence Blanchard. His most recent appearance on Whirlwind comes as part of the stellar cast for Michael Olatuja’s Lagos Pepper Soup project.

As well as playing on numerous Blanchard-penned film scores, Parks has performed alongside Christian Scott, Kendrick Scott, Gretchen Parlato, Ambrose Akinmusire and Kurt Rosenwinkel, and was an integral part of the James Farm Quartet with Joshua Redman, Matt Penman and Eric Harland. The pianist is signed to ECM, where he released two albums alongside celebrated albums Invisible Cinema and Little Big.
