23rd October 2013: 4 Star Review from The Jazz Mann for John O’Gallagher’s Release ‘The Anton Webern Project’

Earlier this year we released John O’Gallaghers WWR album The Anton Webern Project and today we’ve received a glowing 4 star review in today from The Jazz Mann who announce the release as “an absorbing, surprisingly accessible, and often exciting album. O’Gallagher has realised his mission statement in brilliant fashion.” The review also states that “the playing is exemplary throughout with the musicians extracting new meanings from Webern’s work” and announces it as a “21st Century album that combines avant garde classical structures with the urgency and excitement of New York jazz”.
