27th May 2013: Jeff William’s ‘The Listener’ Album Review from The Jazz Mann + Mentions in London Jazz News, The Guardian and BBC Radio 3 Jazz Line Up & Time Out

Jeff William’s will be releasing his second album with WWR next Monday 4th June, and in anticipation of the release we already have in a 4 star review from The Jazz Mann, as well as mentions from London Jazz News, The Guardian, BBC Radio 3 and Time Out.

The Listener has already received a 4 star review from Marlbank as well as a high-praising review from The Jazz Breakfast, and the album proves to be a hit with the third review in from The Jazz Mann claiming that “this is an excellent band and the musicianship is impeccable throughout” and “this is the sound of a group thoroughly enjoying themselves.” Jeff’s next release contains the same excellent line up from his previous WWR release Another Time: Duan Eubanks (trumpet), John O’Gallagher (alto saxophone) and John Herbert (double bass) with Jeff on drum kit. The Jazz Mann has also featured the album on their home page alongside other notable artists, which can be viewed here.

Look out for a preview of The Listener in The Guardian on the 1st June, as well as BBC Radio 3 Jazz Line Up who will be showing the track ‘Beer and Water’ on the 2nd June, Time Out’s listing of June 4th’s concert at The Vortex here and London Jazz News mentioning the new release this week.
