1st October 2012: Jim Hart’s Cloudmakers Trio ft. Ralph Alessi receives another rush of critical acclaim with major JazzWise feature article and 4 Star reviews from The Irish Times & The Scotsman
Jim Hart has had a great year appearing on multiple albums as a sideman as well as releasing his debut WWR release with us just last month on Sept 10. Fronting his new band ‘The Cloudmakers Trio‘ Hart recorded (by chance) a live concert featuring very special guest Ralph Alessi (w/ WWR’s very own Michael Janisch on double bass and David Smith who both turn out highlight performances) who was over from NYC on trumpet during their tour in 2010. After listening to what was supposed to be a good sounding bootleg, Hart realized it was too good to not release, so we had our 3 time Grammy nominee in-house sound mixing and mastering engineer Tyler McDiarmid get on the case, and what has resulted is one of the most talked about albums released in the UK so far in 2012, with a string of international acclaim as well.
Excitedly for the month of OCT, Hart appears in a great, in-depth feature article in Jazzwise Magazine (shown below, to read the full article, click the link to pick up your OCT copy today at their website, it’s a great read) as well as a 4 Star Review of the record. He’s also had a four star review come in from The Irish Times as well as a great mention from The Scotsman also reprinted below.
