Pianist John Turville has established himself as a mainstay of the UK and European contemporary jazz scenes. His debut quintet release, Head First, features many of the finest players on the UK circuit: saxophonist Julian Argüelles, double bassist Dave Whitford, drummer James Maddren; and trumpeter Robbie Robson.
