2nd September 2019: Jure Pukl to release third Whirlwind album ‘Broken Circles’ – February 21 – featuring Charles Altura, Matt Brewer, Joel Ross, Kweku Sumbry

We’re happy to announce the new release from Slovenian saxophonist and composer Jure Pukl Broken Circles will be released on CD / DL / 180 gram limited edition vinyl on February 21, 2020.  His strongest solo album to date, it features a cast of some of NYC’s finest improvisers in Charles Altura, Matt Brewer, Joel Ross and Kweku Sumbry.

“This music was inspired by current events (social & political) and the compositions therefore reflect my viewing on aspects of contemporary western society. ‘Broken Circles’ for me is an analogy of the laws of nature and life which we as people have abused. We developed a sound through rehearsals and performance, but we also connected on a basic human level.” – Jure Pukl
