18th August 2015: Announcing “Whirlwind Nights @ the 606” – a new monthly residency for Whirlwind artists starting on September 1 at the 606 Club in London

We’re pleased to announce a new monthly residency at the 606 Club in Chelsea, London that features Whirlwind artists fronting their own bands for the first set (with special guests from time to time) and an invite-only jam session for the second set*.  The nights will be curated and presented by WWR founder Michael Janisch as well as long-standing musical colleague Zhenya Strigalev (when not on tour).  The first night of the residency is on September 1st and will kick things off with Janisch and Strigalev as well as WWR Artist Dave Hamblett on drums and guest pianist Rick Simpson.  We’ll have more information on our October residency soon which will feature Tam de Villiers’ and George Crowley’s groups in a special double billing.  For timings and up to date information, please visit the 606 Club homepage.
