21st November 2011: On the horizon– Albums to be released by WWR in 2012

We’ve been extremely busy and excited here at Whirlwind Recordings Ltd. and here’s a list of some confirmed new music we will be putting out sometime in 2012.  Each of these artists and their respective bands are at the top of their game, and we look forward to bringing this music to you very soon!

So far confirmed to be released sometime in 2012 (all times/dates and more info to come as things get set in place)

1. Scottish Bassist/Composer Euan Burton’s new album/group/music featuring Will Vinson alto sax, Steve Hamilton Piano, James Maddren, Drums, and Mark McKnight on Guitar

2. English tenor saxophonist George Crawley’s debut album with his quartet featuring Kit Downes, Piano, Calum Gourlay Bass, and James Maddren Drums.

3.  Russian Alto Saxophonist Zhenya Strigalev’s new album featuring Liam Noble Piano, Larry Grenadier Bass, Eric Harland Drums, and Tim Lefebvre Bass.

4. New York Trombonist/Trumpeter Nick Vayenas’ next album featuring Dan Kaufman piano, Vicente Archer bass, Kendrick Scott Drums, Patrick Cornelius alto sax.

5. Jim Hart Trio featuring Ralph Alessi, featuring Jim Hart Vibes, Ralph Alessi Trumpet, Michael Janisch bass, and Dave Smith drums.

6. Flautist extraordinaire Gareth Lockrane’s new album featuring Alex Garnett Tenor Sax, Ross Stanley on Organ, Mike Outram on Guitar…

7. A multitude of music is currently being prepared by label boss Michael Janisch– three albums worth, but no time frame is available yet…….
