9th November 2013: 5 Star Review from BBC Music Magazine & Review in Pasatiempo Magazine for ‘Mike Gibbs +12 Play Gil Evans’

The esteemed composer and arranger Mike Gibbs recently released Mike Gibbs +12 Play Gil Evans on Whirlwind Recordings, receiving 4 star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Arts Desk. We’re delighted to announce another to the collection with a glowing 5 star review from BBC Music Magazine who state that “from the first note, you know you’re entering the unique Gibbs soundscape – those hair’s breadth intervals, beautifully timed and tuned, glistening with piquant strokes of color. The effect is luminous but with a delicate edge, and it’s rich, encompassing the full palette of orchestral texture.”
